Eddie and Mikki Lawrence
Hi! We are Eddie and Mikki Lawrence and reside in Florence, Alabama. We have been married for over 30 years and are the proud parents of four wonderful children (Andrew, Kara Beth, Elliott, and Nathan), the happy in-laws of a beautiful daughter-in-law, (Anna Laura) and the busy caregivers for two dogs (Gabbie and Charlie) and a cat (Tiger).
Having been in ministry for over 25 years, we have experienced some incredible changes in our views and beliefs about ministry. Our journey in life and ministry has taken us through the weathering of some severe tests and storms. We have learned and are continuing to learn life-changing lessons about God's grace, strength, and provision,and about our own failures in ministry, life, and marriage. Our sincere prayer is that God will use what He is doing in our lives to help many others.
Some of the lessons God has taught us are -
- A greater revelation of the love, grace, and mercy of God.
- A greater compassion for people who struggle, stumble, and fall.
- A greater desire to see the brokenhearted mended and restored.
- A keener insight to the damaging effects of religious systems and traditions.
- A deeper appreciation of the rescuing power of forgiveness.
- A tenacious hunger for Jesus, the great grace-giver.
- A painful understanding of the chastening love of God.
- A greater awareness of the deceit that can be in one's own heart.
We realize our daily desperate need to cling to Jesus and Jesus only. In our imperfection and struggles, we are learning to constantly reach our hands toward the hands of Jesus to receive his grace and mercy in our time of need. Thank God for His promise to give it to us all! May He fill your life with His joyous grace.
